The FreeStyle Libre 3 is one of the smallest sensors available, about the size of two stacked coins. A patch made for the Libre 2 would be far too large, so our Libre 3 patches are cut specifically for it (5.3 cm for the round models). They also fit the Libre 3 Plus and the Medtronic Instinct, which share the same sensor.

Tips for the FreeStyle Libre 3

Because the sensor is so small, centre the opening carefully before pressing the patch down, then smooth it from the sensor outwards. Readings are sent to your phone as usual: the patch does not cover the centre of the sensor.

Add an armband for more protection

Frequently asked questions

Does it fit the Libre 3 Plus and Medtronic Instinct?

Yes. Both use the same sensor shape as the FreeStyle Libre 3.

Why not use a Libre 2 patch?

The Libre 2 patch opening is too wide for the much smaller Libre 3, so it would not hold its edges properly.

Does the patch block the signal to my phone?

No. The patch sits around the sensor and does not cover its centre.

Are there patches for children?

Yes: bear, cat, dog, heart, flower, star and lion shapes, each with a decorative centre piece.
