Insulin Pump Harness for Children - Dia-Harness

Dia-Harness: your child's insulin pump carried safely on the back

The Dia-Harness holds a tubed insulin pump in a pocket high on your child's back, out of sight and out of reach of little hands. Soft elastic shoulder straps spread the weight of the pump, so toddlers and young children can play, run and sleep while the tubing stays protected.

Frequently asked questions

Why a harness rather than a belt?

On the back, the pump is out of reach, so young children cannot play with it or pull on the tubing, and it does not get in the way when they crawl or sit. Many parents choose a harness for toddlers and at night, and a belt later on.

Which Dia-Harness size for my child?

Size S is for about 8 months to 1.5 years and size M for about 1.5 to 3 years. Check your child's chest circumference against the range on the product page, as it varies slightly from one model to another.

Which Dia-Harness for the night?

The Dia-Harness Night Time is made for sleep: it keeps the pump in place on the back while your child moves in bed. The Day Time model is lighter, for daytime activities.

What is the window for?

The window and mesh window models let you check the pump without taking it out of the pocket, which is handy at night or at daycare.

Which insulin pumps fit these children's accessories?

Most tubed insulin pumps: Medtronic MiniMed 640G to 780G, Tandem t:slim X2, YpsoPump, DANA RS and DANA-i. Patch pumps such as Omnipod stick to the skin and do not need a pocket: for those, see our armbands and waistbands.
